Information Technology
The Information Technology (IT) division is the technology provider and trusted advisor for Թ. IT is comprised of over seventy Թ Staff whose mission is to support student success throughout their academic journey at St. Louis Community College.
Information Technology services include enterprise information systems and applications; infrastructure; technology support services for classroom, end point, helpdesk, and media support; and information security. These four areas span both academic and administrative needs. IT is responsible for these services district-wide with slight variations for the Workforce Solution Group.
The IT department has a number of active projects that are focused on improving student experience at the college.
The new technology are going to deliver a smooth, modern experience to casual users and power users alike whether they’re accessing applications via mobile, portal, or self-service interfaces.

- Banner 9 Self Service Upgrade
- Ellucian Degree Works
- Microsoft 365 Migration and Upgrade which will provide Microsoft Office 365 account that allows access to the full MS office package for use at home
- MyԹ Portal
The campus projects are focused on improving the learning experience in our 400+ classrooms. These projects feature the latest IT and media equipment.
Examples of current projects:
- Introducing Microsoft Windows 11 Education to all classroom computers.
- Introducing new projector and speaker systems in classrooms
- Refreshing Interactive classroom technology
- Integrating Office 365 access to all classroom devices to offer a seamless experience for the storage of student data.
- Having laptop and Apple iPad carts available for classroom use.
- Providing a new fleet of printing devices for classroom use.
- Maintaining a five year life cycle of equipment to ensure the latest technology is available to all learners.
